Ocean to City has enjoyed great support from the commercial sector.
Ocean to City has also received sponsorship (financial & in kind) from the following - The Clarion Hotel through the provision of showering and changing facilities in their leisure centre, and through providing the use of their conferencing facilities at a reduced rate for the Event. Doyles Shipping provided the use of a crane and driver both on race day. O’Callaghan Properties kindly gave us the use of their warehouse on Albert Quay East for storage of vehicles, boats and trailers before and after the race. RCYC provided the launch venue for the start of the race – kindly giving us access to and the use of their Dinghy Hut, car park and slipway. Keanes Jewellers provided a large Clock and stopwatches to assist in the timing of the race. The Port of Cork Company paid for the printing of participants and volunteers certificates and also gave us the use of their new pontoon at custom house quay. Blackrock Castle Observatory – provided a venue for registration process of the youth race, and a spectacular vantage point for watching the race. Blackrock Scouts – provided storage facilities for youth boats prior to the event. Kinsale Outdoor Centre – use of life jackets. Careys Tool Hire – sponsored hi-vis vests & partially sponsored crowd control barriers Clowater Developments – use of Lapps Quay pontoon Cork Central Library - Photography Competition Exhibition Space Phoenix Kayak Club - Facilitation
