BoatsWe have secure car and trailer parking in a warehouse adjacent to the finish line for a limited number of crews. On the Friday evening before the race, this warehouse is opened every hour on the hour by a volunteer to facilitate early crews. At the finish of the race in Lapps Quay boats are directed to turn to starboard and facing downriver, row or paddle through the left hand arch of De Valera Bridge. Boats will the be coralled in this area where crews may disembark their vessles safely on the Port of Cork Marina. Boats must remain by the quay wall on the inside of the marina and out of the finish area for the safety of other finishing craft. Boats will then be removed from the water by a crane and where possible loaded onto their trailers directly. Volunteers will manage the boat recovery system and will call on cars & trailers to position themselves appropriately to facilitate a safe & orderly boat recovery system. KayaksThere will be parking spaces available in the Port of Cork carpark, Custom House Quay, on the morning of the race for kayak entrants only. You must bring your entry number or registration pack in order to gain entry into this car park. At the finish of the race in Lapps Quay kayaks are directed to turn to starboard and facing downriver, paddle through the left hand arch of De Valera Bridge. Kayakers and their kayaks will be recovered at the Port of Cork Marina by a team of volunteers. CrewsParticipants will be disembarked safely at the Port of Cork Marina.
